  Glen Whitis, 88, of Danville died Friday (Jan 25, 2008) at VA Medical Center, Lexington. Born Feb. 5, 1919, in Somerset, he was the son of the late Willis and Dealie McAlister Whitis. He was a retired farmer, Army veteran and loved fishing. Survivors include his wife, Edith May Stafford Whitis of Danville; sister-in-law, Alma S. Williams of Danville; brothers-in-law, Jasper L. Stafford of Pleasant View, Ind., and William C. Stafford of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
