Text | METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, SOUTH St. Louis, Missouri, Southwest Missouri, Little Rock, North Arkansas Conferences JOHN M. MOORE Office: 1308 Commerce St. Bishop in Charge Residence: 431 Rawlins St. DALLAS, TEXAS March 23, 1936 Rev. Ralph Lee Woodward Lyme, Conn. Dear Bro. Woodward: Yours of March 17 has come to hand. I have no power to transfer you to another church. I have done the best that I can do, that is, to give you a certificate of standing. In our regards you will be recorded as having withdrawn. --o-- When I was at Yale, and leaving, in 1895 I was intreated to enter the Congregational ministry. I have found out many years ago that my decision to stay with my own church was exceedingly wise. However, many Methodists enter that ministry. If they did not the Congregational Church would be in a bad way. Wishing you success. I am Yours Sincerely, John M. Moore | |
