He enjoyed playing golf and traveling to visit his two daughters. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline McLaughlin, and two sisters, Margaret McLaughlin and Catherine Habersack, and two brothers, Daniel McLaughlin and John McLaughlin.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ara Adams and Mary Ellen Foster; and three brothers, E.D., A.J. Jr. (age 4) and J.B. Bell.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Stafford Bell; two sons, Kevin Bell and his wife, Darlene, of Carmel, Ind., and Blaine Bell and his wife, Johanna, of North East; three sisters, Lula True, Elizabeth Moore and Mavis Elliott, all of Clovis, N.M.; a brother, L.A. Bell of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren and a stepgrandson.
Burial with full military honors will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

He worked in maintenance with the Harbor Creek School District for 23 years before retiring in 1979. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was active with Wesley United Methodist Church. He enjoyed wood crafts and gardening. 
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ara Adams and Mary Ellen Foster; and three brothers, E.D., A.J. Jr. (age 4) and J.B. Bell.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Stafford Bell; two sons, Kevin Bell and his wife, Darlene, of Carmel, Ind., and Blaine Bell and his wife, Johanna, of North East; three sisters, Lula True, Elizabeth Moore and Mavis Elliott, all of Clovis, N.M.; a brother, L.A. Miss Stafford attended the Wattsburg Area Schools and later married Dr. Charles K. Barton in 1937. They owned and operated a dairy farm in addition to his dental practice on Route 19 in Summit Township for many years. After the death of Dr. Barton she subsequently moved to Wattsburg and married her former school mate Gerald Orton. She was a member of the Summit Methodist and Lowville United Methodist churches
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. Charles K. Barton and Gerald Orton (d. 10/1979 age 65); two brothers, Donald M. and Vernon A. Stafford; two sisters, Dorothy L. Eppley and Marjorie L. Ferrier. 
Survivors are two sons, John Vernon Barton and his wife Dr. Rebecca Heard Barton of Tennessee and Dr. Norman Walter Barton and his wife Ellen Schmeltzer Barton of Maryland; She is also survived by four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. 
Burial will follow services in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
