Mrs. Stafford was a graduate of Our Lady of the Elms College, receiving a bachelor's degree in biology; she also held a master's degree in education. Mrs. Stafford was a teacher with the Guilderland School District; she also taught in New City, NY, and in Redondo Beach, CA. Subsequently, she worked as a claims examiner for the New York State Department of Labor in Syracuse. Mrs. Stafford was an avid golfer; she belonged to Captains Country Club in Brewster and was the club champion at WaNoa Country Club in Syracuse. Mrs. Stafford was predeceased by her husband, Earl B. Stafford. She is survived by one son, Earl B. Stafford Jr. of Boston, MA; two brothers, Thomas J. Cowell of Saratoga Springs and Joseph M. Cowell of Las Vegas, NV; and 13 nieces and nephews. He was born in Beekmantown Aug. 3, 1898, the son of Ellsworth E. and Anna (Marshall) Stafford.
Prior to retirement in 1959 Mr. Stafford owned and operated Treadwell Bay Farm on the State Road in the Town of Beekmantown.
Mr. Stafford was a member of Plattsburgh First Methodist Church, a member of Northern Light Lodge 505 F&AM of West Chazy, a life member of Beekman Grange, and one of the founders and first president of the Clinton County Dairmen's Cooperative, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, the former Cora Stratton; Three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Katherine) Miller of 12 Stafford Dr., Mrs. Frank (Jane Charlotte) Hamilton of New Paltz, and Mrs. Warren (Ruth) Hodges of Northfield, Conn. Eight grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church with burial in riverside Cemetery.
Masonic ritualistic services will be held Tuesday evening at 8 at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. Calling hours starting today at the funeral home are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Nicholas Stafford, proprietor of the Bartlett house, Wysox. Pa., died Sunday night at 11 o'clock of-heart trouble after an illness of a few hours. Mr. Stafford is a native of Wilmot township. He lived in Wilkesbarre (sic) until two or three years ago, when he bought the Bartlett house and took possession.
His second wife was Hannah Moran Foyle Stafford Keefe. They were married on 12 Apr 1898 in Towanda, Pa.

She was of the Missionary Baptist faith and enjoyed her doll collection, working with flowers and gardening.
In addition to her husband of 48 years, Mrs. Green is survived by her son, David Johnson of Whiteville; her sister, Grethel Herron of Somerville; her aunt, Mildred Griffin of Memphis; nieces, Pat Herron of Somerville, Wanda Herron of Somerville; and her nephew, Dan Herron and his wife, Mary of Somerville.

She was born October 9, 1922 at Pearisburg and was the youngest of eleven children of the late George Washington and Lula Mae Linkous Woodyard. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Ernest Holt, six brothers, Clarence, Ray, Emory, Leo, Mark and Clifford (Jack) Woodyard, three sisters, Estella Woodyard, Virginia Wiley, Helen Douthat, and one infant sister. She was a member of Eaton's Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Mary and Allen Sadler, of Elliston, Jean and Lee Eaton, of Pearisburg; two grandsons, Allen Dale Sadler and wife, Susan, of Pulaski, Justin Sadler and wife, Michelle, of Dublin; one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Sadler; two step great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Bradley Rupe. She is also survived by many, many special nieces, nephews; and a host of close and special friends and extended family from all over Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee and Massachusetts who have called, written and visited. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, with Charles Henderson officiating. Burial in the Staffordsville Cemetery.
