From book in the Huntsville Library from the  Edward Livingston Historical Association in Livingston, La. titled “History of Livingston Parish, Louisiana.

This section is mainly on Wright Stafford (b.1801), but it mentions his brother Stephen (b.1776) who married 2nd wife Sally Williams (1st wife Betsey Peters mother of Ethelred).  Stephen led a wagon train of settlers to Georgia, Southern Mississippi, and Louisiana.  The Historian stated Wright had brothers, Boag, Elijah, James C., Abraham, Alsi (Abcibiades), Stephen and sisters Mary and Clara.  Also, Wright had been involved in shipbuilding on Ship Island (off Biloxi) with his brothers and then they moved on to Washington Parish .  The were also related to (cousins)Leroy Augustus Stafford who’s family was close friends and traveled with the Chaneys of Louisiana (Elizabeth Chaney was Betsey Peters Stafford’s mother).  It seems the North Carolina/Louisiana group are all related in some way.

Note: The Wright Stafford mentioned is really John Wright, Stephen's son.
