SHORT ILLNESS FROM PNEUMONIA IS FATAL
Mrs. Elizabeth Elliott expires at niece’s home
Born in Ashland County but came to Findlay in 1836--three children survive--funeral Tuesday.
Mrs. Elizabeth Elliott, 76 years old died at the home of her niece, Mrs. Elizabeth Harper, 1124 North Cory street at 9:45 o’clock Sunday evening. Death was caused by pneumonia from which she had suffered one week. She was confined to her bed four days.
Mrs. Elliott was born in Ashland county, April 4, 1836, having been born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stafford. She came to Findlay in 1895.
She was married twice. In 1857 she was united in marriage to Peter Wycoff who died 1863 in the Civil war. She was married in 1872 to Joshua Elliott, who passed away in 1904.
Six children were born, three of whom are dead. Those surviving are Elmer Wyckof, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Frank P. Elliott, Marion, O., George Elliott, Richwood, O.
She was a member of the Church of God of Findlay College.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning at the same. Dr. W. H. Guyer of the College will have charge. Interment will be at the Sargent cemetery near Portage, Wood county, OH

Rev. Daniel N. Stafford, 76 of Springfield, a retired Methodist minister, died here today at the home of his Son I S. Stafford, a local attorney. The Rev. and Mrs. Stafford had been visiting here for some time.
Rev. Daniel N. Stafford, 76, Springfield, Ohio, retired M.E. Minister, and father of Homer I.N. Stafford, local Attorney, died unexpectedly at his son's home at 7:45 a.m. Monday, following an attack of angina pectoris, an acute affection of the heart.
His college mate and life long friend, Dr. J.M. Smith, was summoned but did not arrive until Rev. Stafford had passed away. He is survived by the widow Mr. Mary Z. Stafford and three children and one sister. He was a native of Rexford, a son of Jonathan Stafford, early settler. He was a graduate of Scio college in 1872. He also was a graduate of another college. He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity and the college degree of Doctor of Philosophy. He enter the Pittsburgh conference of the M.E. church. Later he was transferred to the New Jersey conference of the same church and titled such important pulpits during his career as Ripley Memorial church, Buffalo, N. Y., New Brunswick, Millville and St. Paul's church at Trenton, New Jersey. He retired from the active ranks of the ministry five years ago. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity.

Some transcripts of Vermont death records spell her name "Lura May Stafford". Some transcripts of Vermont death records suggest she was born October 9, 1876; others suggest she was born in 1878.
The death notice published in the Burlington Free Press (Burlington, Vermont) on March 5, 1931 identifies her as "Lura" and states : "The City Charity Department and nearby friends helped to support Mrs. Stafford. She was born in Shoreham and came here to live with her husband from Massachusetts several years ago. She leaves no children but the surviving relatives include three sisters, two of whom live in Pittsford, and the third, Mrs. Mina Shackett, in Middlebury; also one brother and two half brothers."
The Burlington Town Clerk recorded the marriage of Daniel E. Stafford and Lura Austin, on May 10, 1906 in Burlington. Some transcripts of that record identify her parents as Fracis [sic] Austin and Betsey Merritt.

He organized Boy Scout Troop 121 in 1937. He was Scout Master for many years, and on the Scout committee for 35 years. He was a member of the Welfare Masonic Lodge #517, Bay City Consistory and Michigan Education Association. He had been a member of Lions Clubs Internation since 1953 and served as District Governor of 11-D and Leions Indernational Director 1968-1970. George was a past president of the AAA School Masters Leions luncheon club and served as a member on the board for Leader Dogs for the Blind for many years. He was a charter member of Calvary Presbyterian Church where he served on the board of Trustees and the Building committee. George is survived by his beloved daughter Ruth (the late Glenn) Livingston of Clio, grandson Brian (Cynthia) Kitchen of Flint; several nieces and nephews.
