The son of the late George Washington Stafford and the late Martha Ellen Massingale, he was born in Monroe County. He was a veteran of World War I and was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include three dauhters, Mrs. Lottie Mae Brooks, Mrs. Mary Ellen Young and Mrs. Martha Frances Hawkins, all of Oxnard, California; three sons, Ellie B Stafford of Bundon, Oregon, John Ellis Stafford of Myrtle Point, Oregon and L W Stafford of Coquille, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Georgia Davis of Houston and Mrs. Lizzie Ursery of Wasco, California; one brother, Gordon Stafford of Mexico; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Grady George Head of Campbell will be at 10 a.m. today at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Valley Cemetery.

He died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.
Born in Hunt County on Feb. 19, 1904, he was the son of George W. and Pallas Douglas Head. He married Alta Faye Stafford in Lone Oak in 1924. He was a retired farmer and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Jimmie Head of Greenville; a sister, Mrs. Jodie Spoonemore of Greenville; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife on May 1, 1989; four sisters and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Steve Ragland, Edward Head, Keith Lynn Head, Robert Head, Bob Graves and James Gilbreath.

She was even presented an honor upon graduating high school for having perfect attendance all 12 years of public education.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister and 2 Brothers.
